Answer This Question

Jul 12, 2012
I like to ask someone the following question when I'm discussing insurance with them. Okay, here is the question - If you were involved in a major auto accident, and no one was injured but the damage turned out to be $87,389,33 how much would your policy pay toward the damage?

You are probably wondering how you could do that much damage, right? In our hypathetical case lets assume you caused a 2011 Mercedes, and a 2012 Toyota Avalon to be totalled as well as two telephone poles. How much would your policy pay? If you don't know the answer to that you need to call our office or email us for a review of your coverage.

From what I see on a daily basis the answer would be $25,000 or $50,000. Who pays the difference? You do! That is why this it is so important to know the answer to this question. When your insurance pays out the limit , you pay the difference. Not a good scenario. This is called property damage insurance. Review your auto insurance and make sure it is right.
